A Liar Cowboy

Once upon a time, there lived a cowboy in a village. He used to graze cows near a dense jungle. It was not far from the village. Beside his usual duty, he sang, played flute and gossiped with the other boys. The boy had a very bad habit. He used to tell a lie on the slightest excuse. He only thought about newer plans to tell lies and to befool the others.

One day a new plan peeped into the cowboy's evil mind. He started shouting by saying, "Tiger! Tiger! Help". The villagers were simple minded and helpful to each other. They used to help others in times of danger. So, when they heard the cry, they rushed to the spot to save the cowboy. But they found no tiger there. The villagers asked the cowboy, "Where is the tiger?" The lair cowboy began to laugh at them and said nothing. Thus the naughty boy be-fooled the villagers. After some days, he did the same again and made fun. Many a time the cunning cowboy played the trick with the villagers by telling lies. When the villagers ran to help him, he only giggled before them. The villagers became very angry with him and said, "If this lair boy cries out again, we won't go to help him any more."

One day, a tiger truly came. The boy was grazing the cattle in the field at afternoon. Suddenly he saw that a gigantic tiger fell upon the cows and began to kill them. The cowboy became very much scared and cried out for help. He shouted again and again. But nobody came to help him. The villagers thought that the wicked boy is trying to befool them again. The boy tried to escape from the tiger but failed. The tiger attacked him and killed him easily. Falsehood brought death to the cowboy's life.

Falsehood brings destruction. So, we should avoid telling lies and try to speak the truth always. We should not tell a lie even for making a fun.
