A library is the place where huge collections of books of varied taste are kept for the readers. It is called the store house of knowledge. It satisfies our eternal desire for knowledge of the unknown and the unseen. In fact it plays a vital role in cultivating knowledge. It is said that the nation whose libraries are more enriched, the nation is more improved. It satisfies our eternal thirst for knowledge. A library is a part and parcel of a school. In fact, no educational institution is complete without library. Our school has a big library. It is situated in a separate and long one storied building in the south of our school playground. It is well-decorated and well equipped. There are about one hundred shelves in it. All the shelves are full of various types of books. The total number of books in our library is 10,000. These books are on different subjects like literature, history, geography, science, politics, religion, and so on. A well-ventilated reading room is attached with the library room. There are chairs and tables for the readers. The reading room and the office room of the librarian are separate. There is a trained librarian there. He supervises the library. He has an assistant who sits in the reading room. He is friendly to us. We can borrow books form the library by taking his permission. Sometimes I borrow books from the library and return those in time. We are to return the borrowed books within two weeks. Everyday I pass at least one hour in the library. I along with my friends read newspapers, monthly magazines and other books there. While reading in the reading room, we maintain silence and discipline. In the reading room we can read as many books as we like. We are proud of our enriched library.
