Education is an institutional process by which our outlook develops. Education itself is a power. According to the noble leader of Africa-Nelson Mandela, “Education is the most powerful weapon, by which we can change the world”. Education is an important human activity and essential human virtue. Man becomes 'man' through education. That means, we are what education makes us. To speak the truth, Education is a sign of superiority. Aristotle wrote, "Educated men are as much superior to uneducated as the living are to the dead”. It gives liberty to human beings. So, education is essential for all human beings. Man can not be perfect merely in terms of his biological existence. Education removes the inner darkness of man. An educated person has the ability to differentiate between right and wrong or good and evil. That is how he or she can take the right decisions. It is the foremost responsibility of a society and its authority to educate its citizens. The literacy rate of Bangladesh is now much better than the previous time. The current literacy rate of Bangladesh is about 60%. But it is a matter of regret that the number of educated women of our country is still disappointing. Special focus should be given on women’s education as early as possible. Because, education and empowerment of one woman can easily bring about good changes in a family and gradually in a society. It is the uneducated and illiterate people who think women are not entitled to education. So, we must realize the importance of education. We must aim to ensure that each citizen of our nation is educated and independent.
