Once there lived an ant near a river. Usually ants are labourious. The ant was not only labourious but also benevolent in nature. It used to help the others in distress.
One day the ant felt thirsty when it was searching for foods. He went to the river to have a drink. He walked along to the edge of the river. The wind was somewhat chaotic. Suddenly, he lost his balance and fell into the water.
The small ant was about to wash away. A dove happened to be sitting in a tree nearby. It saw what happened. He quickly plucked a leaf off the tree and threw it down into the water next to the ant. The ant was able to climb onto the leaf and was saved from drowning. It was able to come to the shore safely.
A while later a hunter came by with his trap. He saw the nice dove sitting on the branch of a tree. He instantly decided to hunt the dove. He started setting up his trap. The dove was not aware of all these. But luckily, the ant knew what the hunter was up to.
“How can I let this hunter catch the dove that saved my life?” the aunt thought. “I must do something! But how can a little ant like me save my friend from a big man?” At the very time he got an idea. He hurried across the path, climbed the man’s leg and then gave him a very sharp bite. At this, the hunter lost his attention.
“Owwww!” yelled the hunter and dropped his trap. This time the dove flew off hearing the sound. Before leaving, he expressed his gratefulness to the little ant. “Thank you, dear ant, for saving my life,” he called. “I’ll never forget your kindness!”
The ant was grateful to the dove beforehand.
Moral:- We should do to others as we wish them to do to us.
