We all are social being and we can not live without companion. We live with many others in the society. The people who live around us are called neighbours. Good neighbours are essential for leading a peaceful life. A good neighbour should have some qualities. He should be cordial, frank and co-operative. Our next door neighbour is Mr. Abdur Rahim. We are happy to get him as our neighbour. He comes of a well-off family of Rajshahi. He is about forty years old. He is a banker and his wife is a housewife as my mother. There is a good understanding between their and our family. Mr. Rahim addresses me as 'Khuki". Both he and his wife are mild-tempered in nature. They are very much affectionate to me and my younger brother. Their only daughter ‘Mou’ is my classmate and a good friend. Mr. Rahim is out and out a gentleman. He is a pious and honest man too. He always says his prayer five times a day in time. He stands by our family in our weal and woe. We have been as good neighours for long ten years. He is very affectionate to me. He always encourages me about studying well. As a banker, he is a busy person. But he never forgets to keep in touch with his neighbours. Because of his amiable behaviour, he is well known in our locality. He is associated with many social activities of our locality. It is a matter of fortune to have such a neighbour like him. I wish his long life and good health.
