Paragraph on the Life of a Garment Worker

The most profitable and contributing sector of our economy is Garment sector. No other sector earns as much foreign currency as this sector. If we think about a garment worker of our country, we visualize the image of a poor-dressed woman carrying a tiffin carrier walking towards the factory. Most of the workers in this sector are poor female of our country. The poverty stricken unskilled unemployed male person is also seen to work for bread. A garment worker leads an inhuman life as his/her wages is brutally low. Her working hour is much wider than any other worker. Beside this, she is not in a congenial atmosphere in the factory. She works in the congested room. Sometimes she is to work whole day resting on her feet. She is given a break for about an hour or less when she takes her poor lunch. In spite of long working hour, a garment worker is not paid well. Often long working hours make her sick. Even in bad weather or in fearful political instability or on public holidays, she has to attend the factory timely. Sometimes, she is forced to work but she is not paid extra wages for this. Few dishonest garment-owners deprive them of their bonus and other facilities. After work, a garment worker returns home at evening. At times, she has to face bad comments. Returning home, she is to cook food and other home activities. She can not go to bed at about 12.a.m. It is a matter of great regret that garment workers are the builder of our economics; but they remain poor of the poor. The authority should think about the well-being of these brave workers as soon as possible.
