The annual prize day of our school is the most pleasant day to all of us. We eagerly wait for this special day al the year round. It's an enjoyable day for the teachers and the guardians also. I can clearly recall the last prize giving day of our school. It was held on 6th January. We decorated the whole school campus magnificently with different flowers, colourful papers and festoons. I along with my friends worked spontaneously to decorate our school premises. We invited the Deputy Commissioner of our district as our chief guest. The members of the managing committee and all the guardians were also invited. We received our chief guest with the garland. The ceremony was started at 11am with the recitation of the Holy Quran. At the outset of the programme, our headmistress read out the annual report of the school. She presided over the whole function. She delivered a short speech to all of us. We were encouraged by her speech. Then came the exiting and desired episode. Our English teacher called out the names of the adroit students one by one and they took prize from the chief guest. I won two prizes one for the best attendance and another for achieving the first place in the class. My best friend shamima won a prize for good conduct with students and teachers. After that the chief guest made an instructive speech to us. His witty statement fascinated me much. Finally our headmistress declared the end of the programme by thanking all.
