One day the crow became very thirsty. It was a hot mid-day of summer. The crow was flying in search of food from the early morning. It was very tired too. So he started searching water. It searched water here and there for a long time. But there was no water around the place.
The crow failed to find a little water. It became very much disappointed. After taking rest for a while, again it started searching. Suddenly the crow saw a pitcher of water at a little distance. It heaved a sigh of relief and thought himself, "This time I will be able to drink water and save my life". Soon the crow flew to the jar and put his beak into the pitcher. But alas! Again, the crow felt disappointed. There was a little water at the bottom of it.
It was not possible for the crow to drink the little water of the pitcher. The crow started thinking what to do. After thinking for a while, it made a way out. The clear-headed crow hit upon a plan. There were several rocks around the pitcher. The crow started putting those rocks into it. At this, the water came to the top of the pitcher within a few minutes. After that the crow became able to drink water. Thus the crow saved his own life by the bounty of his will power and intelligence.
Like the crow, we too can overcome the difficulties of our life. But to do that we must possess both will and intelligence.
