Treatment Towards Housemaid

A poor girl named Rina worked in a rich man's house. Though the housemaster was very kind to her, his wife was very much cruel to the girl. She used to scold her every now and then. Even she used to hit the maid if she found any little flow in her work. The house-master did not like that. So, when the house master was out of home, his wife behaved roughly with Rina.

One day Rina broke a tea-cup while she was washing those. At this the mistress of the house got furious. She started beating the undone girl. The girl was crying loudly. At that time, a friend of the mistress was waiting in the drawing room. She came to the spot and became surprised seeing the brutal manner of her friend. She was a lawyer. She told the mistress that, "Such type of treatment to the maid is inhuman and unlawful." She explained that, "It is a punishable offense." She also added that, no human being should be cruel to any other human." In the mean time the house master arrived. He supported his wife's friend. He said that," a girl of Rina's age should be in school. But fortune has forced her to work for living. So, nobody should behave with their house maid in such a way." Her kind-hearted house-master also added that," all human being are the creation of God. To Him, everybody is equal. So, if we act cruelly any of His creatures, He will not forgive us." The housewife's friend again added that, "you have a school going child like this Rina." What will you feel if the same case happens to your child?

Finally, the mistress of the house could get the point. Her mind became kind. She repented for her evil deed and promised not to do it ever. She also decided to send Rina to school. At this Rina became very happy. From then, she was well-treated by the housewife. We all should also behave well with our housemaids.
