Sajek and Cox’s Bazaar are two famous tourist spots of beautiful Bangladesh. Sajek is famed fori ts unparalleled natural beauty and Cox’s Bazaar is the largest sea beach in the world. Both thep laces are highly attractive for the tourists of home and abroad.

Cox's Bazaar : Cox’s Bazar got its name from English captain Hiram Cox, an officer in theBritish East India Company. Nowadays Cox's Bazaar is synonymous with holiday or recreation. No matter how worried or depressed a person is, the beauty of this sandy beach can remove his/her pain within a moment. The breezes coming from the sea can soothe one's tired soul. The vastness of the sea has the power to open one's mind. The top features of Cox's Bazaar are miles of golden sands, surfing waves, rare conches of shells, coral islands, the picturesque hills, Jhaug ardens, national parks, safari parks, animal sanctuaries, colorful Buddhist pagodas, tribes, delightful sea foods etc.

Sajek : The name “Sajek Valley” came from the “Sajek” river which flows from the Karnafuli river. The valley is located in Baghaichari Upazila, Rangamati. The interesting matter is, the valley is about 1800 feet above sea level. It is surrounded by mountains, dense forest, grasslands, hilly tracks and many more! Many small rivers flow through the mountains among which Kachalong and Machalong are notable. Sajek was unexplored for a long time and recently it emerged as a tourist spot for its outstanding natural beauty. The place does not have modern tourist facilities but people come here to enjoy the nature and culture of the ethnic people. Many tourists compare this place to Darjeeling of India. The valley embraced three high mountain rivers – Chengi, Kasalong, and Maini.

Both Sajek and Cox’s Bazar offer natural beauty, but Sajek is more about hilly and forested areas, while Cox’s Bazar is renowned for its expansive beach and sea views. Sajek is known for its tribal culture and indigenous communities, providing a unique cultural experience. Cox’s Bazar,on the contrary, is more focused on beach tourism. In Sajek, activities often revolve around trekking, exploring nature, and experiencing local life. In Cox’s Bazar, activities include beach sports, swimming, sunbathing, and marine adventures.

To be honest, Sajek and Cox’s Bazar are both significant tourist destinations in Bangladesh, each offering distinct experiences.
