A school library is a favorite place for the learners and book lovers. It houses different types of books, newspaper, magazines, and other contents. It is called the store house of knowledge.
It is said that the nation whose libraries are more enriched, the nation is more improved. Usually a library contains numerous types of books such as fiction books, non-fiction books, reference books, literature books, biographies, General Knowledge books, Fables and folktales, cookbooks and craft books, poetry books etc.
Luckily, our school has a big library. It is situated in a separate and long one storied building in the south of our school playground. It is well-decorated and well equipped. There are about one hundred shelves in it. All the shelves are full of books. The total number of books in our library is 10,000.
A well-ventilated reading room is attached with the library room. There are chairs and tables for the readers.There is a trained librarian there. He supervises the library. He has an assistant who sits in the reading room. He is friendly to us. We can borrow books form the library by taking his permission. Sometimes I borrow books from the library and return in time.
Every day I pass at least one hour in the library. I along with my friends read newspapers, monthly magazines and other books there. While reading in the reading room, we maintain silence and discipline. In the reading room we can read as many books as we like.
A school library is a part and parcel of a school. In fact, no educational institution is complete without a library. We are proud of our enriched library.
