The idea of time is an abstract idea. It is not very easy to define time. But we can easily say that, time is invaluable.
Life is a collection of moments. There should be time for study, time for play, time for rest, time for prayer and so on. We should always prepare ourselves for it and never put off anything for tomorrow.
The wasting of time is a crime. Those who waste time in vain cannot shine in life. It is an idle man who always thinks evil. A wise saying goes, “An idle brain is the devil’s workshop”.
There are many things in our life. If these are lost, can be regained. But time once lost, never comes back. Lost money can be regained by hard work, lost health may be regained by medicine. But time once lost cannot be regained. Hence it is called that- “Time and tide wait for none.”
If we do not utilize time, time punishes us. We all know about the great lord Napoleon. He had to face a terrible defeat. The reason was a few minutes late of one of his generals. There is a proverb in English that says- "A stitch in time saves nine."
Nobody should waste time. It is better to use the present than to repent in future. Some students do not study all the year round. They become perplexed in exam hall. Hence, all should be careful about time. The great men of the world utilized their time properly. Those who remember time, time also remember them. Everybody admires a punctual man.
We cannot control the motion of time. What we can is that we can use our present properly. And it is present that can present us a happy future.
