Many days have passed since I got your letter last. However, I received father's letter yesterday. He has complained in his letter that you are not disciplined and regular in your studies. He also informed me in his letter that you have failed in your first terminal examination. How sad!
You are the younger member of our family. But you are not so small that you will not understand the good and bad/you are not too young to distinguish the right and wrong. I will just say to you that you should think over yourselves and make out the reason of your failure in the exam. Remember, it is very easy to go astray but it is not easy to achieve something good. If my prediction is correct, you have started smoking, isn't it? This is very bad. To acquire a greater life, we have to sacrifice our small emotions. You should always bear in mind that only a good mate can help you to be polite, gentle, and dedicated to study. On the other hand, a bad company can lead you only to destruction. In student's life, book should be the only friends. It is high time you realized the matter. It is concerned with your future career. Please be serious and conscious about your sense of duty and responsibility. I know you are intelligent enough to realize my words.
