Shirin    :   Hello, Runa. How are you?

Runa     :   I am fine, what about you?

Shirin    :   I am well, but confused about a matter.

Runa     :   Confused? About what?

Runa    :   My elder brother has suggested me to read newspaper daily. Do you think that it is important and beneficial to us?

Shirin    :   Of course. Don’t you know the importance of reading newspaper?

Runa    :   To speak the truth, I am in the dark about it.

Shirin    :   Newspaper is the mirror of our society, country even the world.

Runa    :   Is it? How it benefits us?

Shirin    :   Newspaper keeps us update with the newer information about various things. This information increases our general knowledge. By the bounty of it, we are able to know the daily affairs of home and abroad, important events, education, literature, entertainments and what not?

Runa    :   Do you read newspaper regularly?

Shirin    :   Of course. It is one of my daily habits. You should read it daily too.

Runa    :  But there are so many Bengali and English dailies in our country. Which should I read?

Shirin   :   I read daily Prothom Alo and Daily Star everyday. You can also read those two.

Runa    :   I have made up my mind. From tomorrow, I will start reading newspaper. Thank you very much for your wise advice.

Sathi     :   Hi Setu! How are you?

Setu      :   Very fine. And what about you?

Saju      :   As far as I know, the skill in this subject plays a good role to get a better job.

Lima     :   Hello, Sumi. How are you?

Sumi     :   I am fine. What about you?

Lima     :   I am not in a good mood.

Lima     :   I am worried about my weakness in English. I have got very poor marks in English in the first term exam.

Sumi     :   To increase your listening skill, you can listen to the BBC or VOA news.

Lima     :   Often I can not concentrate on all these.

Sumi     :   But why?

Lima     :   I don’t feel easy to learn English. It seems to me very tough.

Sumi     :   Try to love this language. Your learning will be easy.

Rumi    :   Hi, Saba. How are you?

Saba     :   Fine. are you?

Rumi    :   I am also very fine. In fact, after the exam, I have heaved a sigh of relief.

Saba     :   No. you know that the “Pahela Baishakh is coming soon. There will be a big fair in our native village. I hope the days will be fine.

Soma    :   Hello, Mou, how are you?

Mou      :   I am well. What about you?

Soma    :   I am so so.

Mou      :   You look worried. Why?
