Dear Soheli, 

 

I was glad to receive your letter. You have written that you are enjoying the winter vacations at your maternal uncle’s house. It’s great! I am also in a very good mood. The annual sports day of our school was held yesterday. Now I am writing you about that.

We decorated our school premises nicely. A big stage was built up. Sufficient sitting arrangements were made for the guest, teachers and students. A band party was managed to enhance the attraction of the sports. Our local M. P. and chairman of the managing committee was the chief guest. The programme began at 9 a.m. Some students ran around the field with the Olympic torch. Then our Headmistress declared the opening of the programme. She presided over the programme. There were many events like racing, cycling, slow-cycling, throwing spear, long-jump, and high-jump and so on. I took part in two events. I secured the first position in one event and second position in another. The sports events ended at 1 p.m. The chief guest distributed prizes to the meritorious students and the best performers. He delivered an instructive short speech for the students. The function ended with a short cultural programme. I enjoyed the whole programme very much.

Write a Letter to your Uncle informing him about the Planning after SSC

Dear Uncle,

First of all, take my salam. I received your letter yesterday. Hope you all are going well. After a long time I am writing you. In your letter, you have wanted to know about my plan in the vacation. Now I am telling you about it.

To speak the truth, I don't want to pass this free time only sitting idly. I have made up my mind that I will finish a computer course from any reputed training institute. Beside this, I want to complete an English speaking course during the time. Most probably, you are thinking that, I will be busy during the whole vacation. No, my dear uncle! I have planned to visit your house soon. You know that my maternal uncle live in Chittagong. I want to go there with my dear cousin Sohana. I hope you will let her go there with me. I will come to your cottage first, and after two days we shall go to Chittagong. This is all about my plan.

No more today. I am coming on the next week. Best regards to my aunty and love to Sohana.

Write a Letter to your Friend describing a Farewell Party.

Dear Shila,

Accept my heartiest love. Hope you are keeping well. After a long time I am writing you as my exam is knocking at the door. But I am writing this letter to share a feeling with you. 

Last Sunday, our school arranged a farewell party for us those who are going to sit for the coming SSC exam. I was one of the guests of the programme. The function started on the appointed time. All my teachers including our favorite Headmistress had given inspiring speeches. I gave a short speech on behalf of the students. All looked sad. A pin drop silence prevailed there. At the end of the party, the junior students offered us roses. I can't forget the day. I could not control my tears on the day. I loved my school, classmates and as well as my teachers very much.

No more today. Write to me. Convey my best compliments to uncle and aunt and love to the younger.

Dear Sir,

Hope you are going well. With due respect, we want your kind attention about the environment pollution of Dhaka city. It is not unknown to you that it is the capital city of Bangladesh and one of the major cities of South Asia. It is the 9th largest city in the world. But It is a matter of great regret that, it is turning into a city of trash day after day. In the meantime, the larger parts of the city have become unsuitable of living. The environment situation of the city is worse than any other time. Lack of rain in the winter season, open air burning of waste, regional weather conditions, smoke emitted from vehicles, and discharges from the 1,100 brick kilns around the city are the main sources of pollution in Dhaka. The sound pollution, odour pollution and the air pollution is severe in the city. Now our city is the third most air polluted city in the world. According to the Department of Environment (DE), the density of airborne particulate matter (PM) reaches 463 microgram per cubic meter (mcm) in the city. The pollution in capital city Dhaka has gone higher than Mexico City and Mumbai which is killing thousands of people prematurely each year. According to the Air Quality Management Project (AQMP), several million people of the city are suffering from pulmonary, respiratory and neurological illness due to poor air quality.

 

If this condition continues to year after year, then once the whole city will be unsuitable for living. We know that it is not possible to make a city 100% pollution-free particularly, a city like Dhaka. But we believe that the international organization like Green Peace can do a lot regarding this.
