Causes and effects of Drop out Of Female Students

A dropout is leaving educational institutions like school, college or university without completing a course. Female students of Bangladesh are more vulnerable to drop out than boys. There are various reasons behind this. Since ancient times, women in Bengal have been poorly treated and left without most of their rights.That continuity still exists in some areas, education is one of them. There are multiple reasons behind the drop out of our girls. The family's socioeconomic status is one of the main reasons for dropping out in education. In fact all the other issues are interlinked with poverty. Many poor parents of the society can not afford the educational expenses of their children. Superstitions and conservatism also play a negative role here. If parents are uneducated, they often do not encourage their daughters to go to school. Many parents still think that girls are to be married as soon as possible. So, child marriage is also another reasons for dropping out. A good number of girls in our country get married before completing their secondary level. This problem is still acute in our pastoral areas. Lack of security also works as a catalyst behind the drop out of female students. Unfortunately, we are still fighting against eve teasing even in the 21st century. In the prevailing mindset of the guardian propel them to dissuade female education. The effects are visibly miserable. Girls without education are more likely to become child brides. This leads them to early pregnancies which endangers the health of both mother and child. Uneducated females are more vulnerable to infectious diseases like HIV and more likely to die young. Apart from all these, an uneducated young mother can't play her role in the development of the society.
