A Street Accident

Among all types of unfortunate occurrences in our daily life, a street accident is most sorrowful. It has become a common incident in our country today. Everyday we find the news of accidents in the electronic and print media. A few days ago, a horrible accident took place before my eyes. Some boys were playing cricket in a field adjacent to a road. I was returning home from my school. The batman hit the ball and it crossed the road. A little boy was enjoying the game sitting at one corner. He rushed to get the ball carelessly. Just at that time a microbus was passing along the place. The unfortunate boy came right in front of it so suddenly that the driver had no time to stop the car at once. Nevertheless, the driver tried desperately to hold the brake but failed. The car ran over the undone boy and it was dead in the twinkling of an eye. I ran up the spot along with few others. There was huge blood flowing on the street. We brought out the dead body from under the car. The parents of the little boy were informed. They came and seeing their son's condition, lost their sense. Some people took them to hospital immediately. The people those who were present there, wanted to drub the driver. But we protected the driver as he was not guilty at all. Meanwhile the highway police arrived and arrested. However, this horrible scene made me speechless and I left the place with such sad feelings that can not be described in words. Still whenever I pass through that road, the event comes into my mind and I feel weeping. It is an evocative event of my life which gives me only pain.
