One spring day some naughty boys were returning home from school. There was an old pond on the way to the school. There lived some frogs in the pond.
The boys started playing near the pond. They began to throw stones into the water. Due to their indiscriminate throwing, several frogs were hurt and injured. The others became very much afraid. It was a painful suffering for them. But nobody knows how to stop the naughty boys. They were just enjoying the matter.
At last an old frog lifted his head out of the water. He said,
“Boys, please don’t throw stones at us.”
The boys replied, “We are only playing here, nothing else.”
The old frog said, “I know that you are playing here, but please stop playing my boys"
One of the naughty boys said, "Why do you tell to do that? Tell the reason first"
In answer, the old wise frog said "What is play to you is death to us” The boys realized the fact and stopped throwing stones to the pond. They repented for their deed and went away.
Moral: What we do for our amusement often makes great trouble for others.
