Honesty of a Boy

Once a boy named Rakib was coming home from school. He was walking on foot. Suddenly he noticed a moneybag lying beside the road. He thought for a while.

Rakib was an honest boy in his thinking and doing. First of all, he thought that "I should ignore it." At the same time he thought, "If there is any visiting card or any address or any cell phone number, I will be able to send it to its real owner". So at once he decided to pick it up. But he was not a little bit interested to grab the contents in the money bag. He wanted to return it to its owner. He took it with him and reached home. After reaching home, he told the event to his mother. His mother opened the money bag and fortunately found a cell phone number in the money bag. Then she phoned on the number. The man who received the phone was the owner of the bag. When Rakib's mother described about details of the money bag, the man could easily recognized his money bag. He became extremely pleased and began to thank her. Rakib's mother then explained, 'It is not me, it is my son Rakib who is to be thanked. He himself found the bag and brought it to me. Then she gave the address of her house to the man. Next day the man came to Rakib's house. He thanked Rakib again and again. He praised Rakib highly for his honesty. He said, "I have never thought that, I will get this money bag ever. There are some precious things in it." The man wanted to give Rakib one thousand taka. But Rakib refused that with modesty. The man again praised of Rakib's behaviour. Then he went out on his way.

The man was an important person. He was an editor of a daily newspaper. Next day he wrote about the honesty of Rakib. He became the hero of the locality. We also have to be honest like Rakib. Only after that our society will be established as a happier and prosperous society.
