Water is a vital element of nature. It is essential for the human existence on earth. Not only human, no creature of the almighty God can survive without water. Hence, water is called life. But this life saving element of nature is threatened to be ruined. It is being polluted indiscriminately. It is a matter of great regret that man is entirely responsible for this pollution. Water is polluted in many ways. Mills and factories pollute water by throwing waste and filth into water. Water vehicles like launch, steamer, and ships dump oil into water. Oil seeping from damaged tankers also pollutes water. Human and food waste is another reason. Water is also contaminated by insanitary latrines and unsafe drains. Sometimes dead body of various animals is fallen into the water of rivers and canals. Extreme usage of chemical fertilizer is also another reason of water pollution. As pure water is essential for our life, dirty water is detrimental to our health. By drinking only pure clean and contamination free water, we can ensure a healthy and happier life. So by any means, we must have to stop polluting water just now. Government should take necessary steps as early as possible. In fact, it is a gigantic challenge for the government alone. Public awareness is a must here. It is not possible to stop pollution entirely, but we should try our best to save our water, to save ourselves and to save the world.
