Celebrating cultural week is a matter of great pleasure to all of us. Last month, we celebrated the annual cultural week in our school premises. The programme was held with pomp and grandeur. Our headmistress and the chairman of the managing committee took the initiatives to or organize the programme. It was arranged on the occasion of the birth day to our national poet Kazi Islam. We decorated the whole campus nicely. The campus took a festive look. The district commissioner was the chief guest of the programme. Other distinguished guests, guardians and all the students attended the programme. The chief guest inaugurated the programme by flying balloons. We brought out a colourful procession from our school campus. The week was included song, music, play, debate, recitation, sports, procession and tree plantation. A fair was arranged on this occasion. At the closing day of the week, a seminar on 'Nazrul and today's young' was held. Soumitra Chatterjee, an honourable teacher of Dhaka University read out the main article of the seminar. We knew about Nazrul beforehand, but that day we were really fascinated by listening the description of his youth period. Then our headmistress delivered a short and instructional speech. She thanked all and declared the end of the week at about evening. Thus the week came to an end.
