Paragraph on a Street Hawker

A man who sells various commodities by moving from street to street in towns or cities or even in the villages is a street hawker. He is familiar figure to all. He is seen hawking since down to dusk. He wears a peculiar dress of different colours and makes peculiar sound to draw the attention of his customers. His work is very tiresome. He carries his materials on head, sometimes in hands sometimes in a bag and sometimes in a small handcart. He generally buys his goods at a cheaper rate and sells them at a good profit. A street hawker is very cunning. He knows his business very well. His articles are mainly attractive to the women and children. He carries toys, sweets and other things for children and sells them at a fixed price at a good rate. He also carries bangles, ribbons, clothing, fruits, utensils, fancy goods and things of domestic uses for women. Sometimes he uses subtle speech with simple minded women and innocent children. A hawker also knows the time of his business. He does not come when housemasters are at home. Rather he comes when housemaster are out of home and when women are free from their household work and duties. A hawker is very skilled in bargaining the price of him. Often he hikes two or three times more than the exact price. He has always tendency to cheat the customers. In spite of this negative aspect, poor people can buy things cheaply and easily from him. He leads a very simple life with his family members. Although he works hard, his life is miserable. All most all the time he leads a subhuman life.
